Make it a “car-free” day, dedicated to nature

Pease Park offers the quintessential “urban park” experience. Parking is extremely limited, so we urge all visitors to consider a fully immersive experience by opting to get to the park on foot, by bike, or through public transportation.

public transportation

Bound tightly in the vibrant core of our growing city, Pease Park is accessible by public transportation. There are 5 Capital Metro bus stops for the 5 bus that are conveniently located along Lamar:

connectivity

The entire park is also seamlessly integrated into Austin’s trail system. In fact, Pease Park provides the only north-south link in the system for commuters looking to get downtown and beyond. The great thing about Pease Park is that there are no fences or gates… it’s completely permeable, and there are countless entry points connected to the city’s system of trails and sidewalks. There are multiple hike and bike trails throughout the entire 84-acres, and Pease Park offers the unique opportunity to become “lost” in nature just steps away from all of Austin’s greatest amenities.

ride sharing

A great option for many park users is ride-sharing. Uber and Lyft are great options when visiting the park. The address for Kingsbury Commons is 1100 Kingsbury St., and any driver will be able to take you right to the park’s most popular entry point!
