Welcome to Polecat Hollow

On the east side of Shoal Creek and just west of Lamar Blvd, you can find Polecat Hollow. This part of Pease Park faces the University of Texas West Campus and Lamar Blvd. & Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd. A bus stop is available at 1801 Lamar Blvd. at MLK Blvd.

Volleyball

Park visitors enjoy playing sand volleyball in Polecat Hollow at the three sand volleyball courts that are always free and open to the public.

At the south end of Polecat Hollow is a bridge that connects you to Kingsbury Commons and the Pease Park trails making this a perfect access point for joggers, walkers, and visitors arriving from the east side of the park either by bus, foot, or bike.

the future of Polecat hollow

A new and improved Polecat Hollow has been envisioned in the Pease Park Vision Plan. Soon, Pease Park Conservancy and the City of Austin will work together to implement this phase of the plan; creating a grand entryway into Pease Park from Lamar, improving connectivity and access to the park in partnership with Cap Metro, restoring the riparian area along Shoal Creek, and repositioning of the volleyball courts, among other exciting changes that will be announced soon.
